I've had a life long interest in the acoustic guitar, and I started building guitars in an attempt to curb the purchasing of any additional instruments. This has lead to a wonderful adventure in Lutherie which combines two of my primary interests: woodworking and guitars. I have played and studied dozens of great OM styled instruments and have settled on a design that combines visually beautiful wood designs with a light weight responsive construction. This versatile design works great for both fingerstyle and medium strumming flatpicking.
I trained with veteran builder and master craftsman George Morris at Vermont Instruments. I have also attended a master class on setup and voicing with Kent Everett. Watch this space for my building blog on the current builds in progress. Please feel free to browse through my selection of woods and send me an email if you would like to discuss a custom build. I am currently building several of my custom steel string OM design instruments. I also am planning to start a build in the Spring of 2011 of a nylon string cross-over design roughly based on the Miguel Rodriguez Jr.
